Cakesify Seller help
Start here

I think something I sold may be unsafe. What do I do right now?

Act now. Do not wait for office hours and do not wait for us to reply.

Four things, in this order

  1. Call the customer on the phone number shown on the order. Tell them plainly not to eat it, and why. A call, not a message, because you need to know it reached them.
  2. Write to support@cakesify.com with the Order ID, what the problem is and when you found out. If it could make someone ill, say so in the subject line.
  3. Mark the product sold out so no more orders come in while this is sorted out.
  4. Keep any remaining stock aside. Do not throw it away and do not sell it. It may be needed to work out what happened.

About the customer's number

Their name, phone number and delivery address are on the order so you can fulfil it and reach them about it. Use them for a safety warning like this one, and for nothing else.

We will contact them too

Cakesify contacts every affected customer formally as part of the recall process. Your call is the fast first warning, not a replacement for it.

You will not be punished for telling us

Telling us early is treated as cooperation, never as fault. A seller who calls their customer at ten at night has done exactly the right thing, and it is treated that way.

The outcome you want to avoid is somebody becoming ill because nobody said anything. Everything else is manageable.
