Who can sell on Cakesify?
Food makers who hold a valid FSSAI registration or licence, and who meet our food safety and platform requirements. That is the main gate, and it is not negotiable, because it is the law.
What you can sell
Food, broadly, as long as your licence covers it. See What can I sell on Cakesify?
You do not need to be a big operation
Most of our sellers work from a home kitchen. Some make one thing extremely well. Some have been selling to neighbours for years without calling it a business. All of that is fine.
What we look for is food made with care, described honestly, and delivered when promised.
If you do not have your FSSAI yet
You can still start. Create your account, build your store, add your products, get everything ready. What you cannot do is accept real orders until your registration or licence is valid and verified on your store.
Most people use that waiting time well. Building a good catalogue takes longer than you think.
See Do I need an FSSAI licence to start? for how to apply and what to do while you wait.
The selection step
Cakesify is a curated marketplace, not an open listing site. You apply, we look at your application, and selected sellers are invited to create a store. There is a one-time registration fee at that point.
We do this because the quality of the marketplace is the thing that brings customers back, and that depends entirely on who is in it.
