What can I sell on Cakesify?
Food, broadly. Cakes and bakes, desserts, chocolates, sweets, snacks and savouries, spices and masalas, beverages, frozen items, and regional or festival foods.
The one requirement is that whatever you sell is covered by your FSSAI registration or licence and meets food safety law.
Regional and diaspora food is the point
Cakesify exists partly because this food is hard to find once people move. A Malayali family in Bangalore wanting proper Ottada, a Bengali household at Durga Puja, someone who has not had their grandmother's achar in six years.
If you make something specific to your region, community or family, that is not a niche problem here. It is the reason people come.
What does not work here
Anything your licence does not cover. Anything you cannot make consistently. And anything you cannot describe accurately, because every listing has to carry real ingredients, real allergens and a real shelf life.
Getting it online
Once you know what you are selling, adding a product takes about two minutes each.
A practical note on range
You do not need fifty products. You need enough that a customer has a real choice, which in practice means around ten. Beyond that, depth in one thing beats a thin spread across many.
