Cakesify Seller help

How many products should I list?

Around ten to start with. There is no hard rule, but ten is roughly the point where a customer browsing your store feels they have a choice rather than a single option to take or leave.

Why ten and not three

A store with three products gets looked at once. A store with ten gets explored, and gets returned to. More variety across sizes and prices also means more chances to match what someone actually wants today.

It matters for discovery too. Each product is a separate thing that can show up in a search or a category page. Three products is three doors into your store. Fifteen is fifteen.

Why not fifty

Because you have to be able to make all of them well, on the day, every time. A long catalogue you cannot deliver on is worse than a short one you can.

Start with what you are confident about. Add as you go, and let the festival calendar guide you: Onam sweets in August, Christmas bakes in December.

Range matters as much as number

Spread your sizes and prices. Somebody who wants a ₹300 jar cake for a colleague and somebody who wants a ₹2,000 celebration cake are both real customers. If everything you sell is the same size at the same price, you only catch one of them.

Organising them

Once you have more than a handful, collections are what stop your store looking like a list.

Marketplace eligibility

Appearing on the Cakesify Marketplace needs a reasonable live catalogue along with valid FSSAI and a quality check. Ten good products is a comfortable place to be.
