How do customers find my store?
Four routes, and they feed each other.
Your store link. Shared by you: Instagram bio, WhatsApp status, printed on your box, sent to the group chat where people already ask you for orders.
The Cakesify Marketplace. Customers browsing cakesify.com for food from their own region or city. This is where people who have never heard of you find you.
Search. Your store and product pages are built to be findable on Google. Someone searching for a specific sweet in a specific area can land directly on your product.
Other people sharing you. The quietest and strongest one. Somebody receives your cake as a gift, asks where it came from, and orders.
What makes the difference
Your visibility depends on things you control. How complete your catalogue is. How good the photos are. Whether your information is accurate and you are actually open. And how you have handled the orders you already took.
A store with three products, no allergen information and a closed sign is invisible, and fairly so.
Keeping them
Finding you is only half of it. See How do I get customers to come back?
The compounding part
Early orders through your own link build your sales history, and that history helps you in search and on the marketplace. So sharing your link to people who already know you is not separate from growing on Cakesify. It is how it starts.
