Cakesify Seller help

Can I change a price after an order is placed?

No. Once an order is confirmed, you fulfil it at the price that was confirmed. Any new price applies to new orders only.

The same goes for product details

Weight, ingredients, variants, prep time: changing them on the listing does not change an order already in the system. The customer bought what was on the page at the time, and that is what they are owed.

If something genuinely has to change

Talk to the customer first. If they agree to a change that affects the price, record the agreement in the order notes. If you cannot reach agreement, or the change is not something they want, the honest move is to deliver as ordered or contact us.

For anything you cannot resolve with the customer directly, write to support@cakesify.com with the Order ID before the delivery date, not after.

The underlying reason

A confirmed price is a promise someone has already paid against. Changing it after the fact is the fastest way to lose a customer permanently, and it is the kind of thing people tell other people about.

If a price is wrong on your listing, fix the listing now. It will be right for everyone who orders from here on.
