What happens if my FSSAI expires?
An expired, suspended or cancelled licence is one of the triggers for a recall review under our Food Recall Plan. That means your listings can be taken offline within two hours and undelivered orders cancelled while it is sorted out.
This is heavier than most sellers expect, which is exactly why it is worth saying plainly.
Renew early, not on time
Put the renewal date in your calendar with a month's warning. FSSAI processing is not instant, and the gap between expiry and renewal is a gap where you cannot trade.
What to do the moment you renew
Update the details on your store straight away. The store is reactivated once the new details are valid and verified.
If it has already expired
- Apply for renewal immediately.
- Write to support@cakesify.com and tell us, rather than waiting for us to notice.
- Do not accept new orders in the meantime.
Telling us yourself is treated very differently from us finding out. See Food safety and recalls.
If your details change for another reason
A new licence number, a change of premises, a different business name. All of these need updating. See What if my FSSAI, PAN or bank details change?.
