Cakesify Seller help

What if the customer is not available to receive the order?

Confirm before you dispatch, not after. A quick call to the number on the order asking whether they will be there is the single most effective thing you can do, and it takes thirty seconds.

If you already dispatched and they are not reachable

  1. Keep calling, and message as well. People miss calls from unknown numbers.
  2. Coordinate with your delivery partner on what they can do: wait, reattempt, or return.
  3. Record every attempt in the order notes, with times.
  4. Keep support@cakesify.com informed if it is not resolving.

Food is not a parcel

Most of what you make has hours, not days. Do not let an order sit in a vehicle in the sun while you work through a phone tree. Follow sensible storage and food safety practice, and if the product will not survive the wait, say so in the notes.

If delivery genuinely cannot be completed

Sometimes delivery simply cannot be completed, and the reason sits at the customer's end. If you have made real attempts to reach them and documented each one, the order may be treated as cancelled. In that case you are paid the applicable payout, the customer is notified, and no refund is given.

That outcome depends entirely on the record. Attempts you did not write down did not happen, as far as any review is concerned.

The preventive version

Confirm availability before dispatch, every time. Make it a habit rather than a step you do when you remember.
