How do I pause my store or take a break?
Switch Store open off at the top of your Seller Home. Customers can still see your store, but they cannot place new orders until you switch it back on. Your products, photos and settings all stay exactly where they are.
When to use it
- You are travelling or taking a holiday
- You are fully booked and cannot take another order this week
- A festival rush has filled your calendar
- You need a few days to clear what you already have
Using it is better than leaving the store open and rejecting orders. A rejected order disappoints a specific person. A closed store disappoints nobody.
Finish what you already accepted
Closing the store stops new orders. It does not cancel the ones you have already accepted. Those are still yours to deliver.
Dated vacation mode
Setting a close date and an open date in advance is not available yet. For now it is the manual toggle: switch off when you go, switch on when you are back. We are working on the dated version.
If you are leaving for good
Pausing is reversible. Closing your store is not.
A single product rather than the whole store
If it is one item you cannot make this week rather than everything, mark that product sold out instead. See What if a product is unavailable?.
