Who issues the invoice?
Two different invoices, and it matters which is which.
Your invoice to the customer
You issue it, in your own name. You are the seller of the food, not Cakesify. We run the platform and collect the payment, but the supply is yours.
If you are GST registered, that invoice carries GST on the product where the product is taxable, and you are responsible for reporting and paying that GST in your return.
If you sell under ECO enrolment and are not registered, the invoice is issued without GST, and you do not charge GST to the customer.
Our invoice to you
Separately, Cakesify raises its own GST invoice to you for the commission, with 18% GST on it. That is a service we supplied to you, and it is a different transaction from the food you supplied to the customer.
Keep the two apart in your records. Your accountant will need them separated, and if you are registered, our invoice is what supports any input credit you claim on that GST.
Getting hold of them
Invoices and settlement documents in the dashboard are being finalised. Until they are available, write to support@cakesify.com with the Order ID, or tell us the month you need and we will send the set.
What you can see today
The payout summary on each order shows the full breakdown: order amount, every deduction, final payout. Dashboard > Orders > select the order. That is enough to reconcile against your bank statement while the documents are being finished.
If you are GST registered
Do not leave this to the end of the quarter. Ask for what you need early and keep it somewhere you will find it again.
